SPRING BREAK HOSTING: ATLAS PREP CTE STUDENTS!

April 6, 2018

Team HPE was honored to host students in Atlas Preparatory School's Career Technical Education (CTE) program over their recent Spring Break -- and welcome them into HPE's Plumbing/Piping Fabrication Shop to learn the ins and outs of our industry-leading processes! HPE also hosted students from this program during National Apprenticeship Week, last November.

Josh Wooden, HPE Project Engineer, is offering one construction class per month this Spring for Atlas CTE and JP Kennel, HPE Director of Production and Apprenticeship, is providing the instruction and curriculum for these classes. In February, Josh led a Commercial Construction 101 class at Atlas, and in March, we offered a Plumbing lass where Josh helped move students through the stations and fielded their questions while HPE's Shop crew Kent Markley, Randy Ernst, and Alfonso Moreno guided the students through the processes associated with soft solder copper, brazing, weld beads, and cutting steel with the plasma cutter.

We're honored to help educate the next generation!
