The six-story, 112,700 SF, 224-room Vandenberg Hall is one of two main dormitories at the Academy. The renovation in 2009 included new finishes, MEP and Fire Protection systems and communication systems for the cadet rooms and Squadron Assembly Rooms.

HPE also worked on the second renovation in 2012 with GE Johnson, completing updates to this USAFA Cadet Dormitory, including 354 cadet sleep rooms, 16 rest rooms, and 49,000 SF of curtain wall replacement. Nearly all mechanical, fire suppression, electrical and lighting systems were demolished and replaced in the corridors, sleep rooms and rest rooms.  Coupled with the extensive exterior envelope reconstruction, the facility boasts greatly improved energy efficiency and cadet comfort. This renovation was valued at $851,299
